Ivan is the inventor of the Timing Retarder Eliminator. So what is the TRE and what does it do?

The TRE is a device which allows much better throttle response in the first 4 gears on all EFI Suzuki sportbike models.
What the Suzuki has done is to make a separate ignition map for each gear which limits the power and smoothness of your Suzuki in the first 1/2 turn of the throttle in gears 1 through 4.

Ivan was clever in the design of the Timing Retarder Eliminator. It still allows full timing at full throttle. As you shift up through the gears, the amount of throttle needed to access the advance curve decreases, until you make it into 5th gear and then it's gone. You have nice, smooth operation.

Wouldn't you like your Suzuki to respond just as smoothly in the lower gears?

Ivan has also developed TRE's for a limited number of Kawsaki ZX models.
For the 2006 - 2010 ZX 14 the TRE increaes power below 6000 rpm! It gets rid of part throttel timing retarder in lower gears. Allows 6th gaer (faster rate in stock ECU) throttle plate openeing rate.
For the 2006 2006 -2010 ZX10R the TRE disables KIMS on 2008 - 2010 models It increases part throttle response and gets rid of fuel shut-off on decell. THis will allow smooth on/off throttle transitions and will get rid of the annoying pop when the throttle is reapplied.

NOTE:
The TRE has no effect at full throttle, apart from the ZX14.
The TRE DOES have an effect on closed to half throttle in gear 1 to 4 at ANY RPM.

TRE004, TRE 005 and TRE 007 are SMART TRE's. They have an internal computer chip and require no adjustments to idle speed or fuel mixture to maintain smooth idle quality, it also will not disturb the cold start fast idle quality.
