Local dealership, Preston Harley-Davidson, is gearing up for a key event on its 2012 calendar with sponsorship of the popular annual Wake the Lakes Rally on 6-8 July. Organised by the Red Rose Chapter, the rally will feature lake tour ride outs, live music, a ride in custom show, and Chapter challenge games.

There will be something for everyone at the event and all are welcome to come along to Kendal Rugby Club and get involved! Activities include food stalls to keep you refreshed and trade stall for shopping opportunities, while fun games, such as guess the number of bikes in the procession will keep local children occupied.

Now in its fourth year, the event has seen increased footfall each year and Red Rose Chapter Director, Gordon Dick, is keen to get even more people involved in the fun, family event. “The parade will pass through Windermere and Bowness at shortly after 12pm on Saturday 7 July and Kendal shortly after 12.30pm,” said Gordon. “We’d welcome support and encouragement for the rolling thunder of more than 200 Harley-Davidson® motorcycles passing through.

“It will be quite a spectacle and it would be fantastic to get support from local residents and visitors to the area to add to the fantastic atmosphere. The ride out has been a complete sell out, with tickets no longer available, and all participants have received a special rally pack with pin patch and t-shirt. Visitors from across the UK and Europe will be joining us for the Parade, so don’t miss out!
