The MC Federation's on-going mission to turn members of the general public on to the joys of off-road riding broke new ground at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed where over four days 632 visitors of all ages took part in the KTM Motocross Experience. At the top of the festival site a large grassland circuit for adult riders and a smaller circuit for youth novice riders were laid out. The MCF team led by general manager Roy Barton provided qualified instruction and took care of admin duties while KTM provided a fleet of 2013 machines comprising Automatic, 85cc, 250F and 350F Freeride models. The Goodwood Festival of Speed attracted 180,000 visitors over four days. For the MCF it was too good an opportunity to miss and the KTM machines proved to be the perfect tools for the job. "We didn't stop over the four days," says Roy. "We're committed to getting more people riding off-road bikes and our partnership with KTM provided us with a fleet of great machines. The all-new KTM Freeride in particular went down exceptionally well with novice riders who found it very easy to learn the basics of off-road riding on." KTM UK managing director Shaun Sisterson was equally enthusiastic: "At KTM we're passionate about giving people who wouldn't normally get the chance the opportunity to experience off-road sport and it's a passion we share with the MC Federation," he says. "We're particularly delighted the Freeride went down so well as its user-friendly power and ease of handling are designed to appeal to the novice rider as well the more experienced off-roader."
