BEN Charity Balll rocks the Grosvenor House Hotel

BENLeading figures from the automotive world turned out in force in a show of support for BEN, the automotive industry charity on 12th December 2012. A night headlined by an exclusive performance from the West End hit musical "We Will Rock You" is anticipated to raise in excess of £170,000. 

A Ball is not a Ball without great food, great company and a variety of entertainment and nobody does it better than BEN. Held in one of London's most prestigious settings, a lavish four course meal was followed by a night of glittering entertainment and fun-packed fundraising.

An incredible array of auction items, made possible by generous donations from within the industry, featured amongst others a VW Golf SE 1.6 TDI, a Honda NSC50R Special Edition scooter, a fireproof top signed by three-time F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel plus a factory tour and an amazing 'Spitfire Experience'.

Adrian Newey OBE, Chief Technical Officer of the Red Bull Racing Formula One team, and a guest of BEN commented: 'It was a real pleasure to be there on the night. I have been to many events at the Grosvenor but of those this was the most entertaining and also the most creative in fund raising. You have to respect the efforts of BEN and the impact it has on so many lives within our industry. The care it gave my Father in his twilight days was first class and I will always be grateful for that. I wish BEN continued success in all its fundraising activities.'

David Main, BEN's Chief Executive said: "As ever we are immensely grateful to everyone involved in making the evening such a huge success. I am constantly in awe of the fantastic support we receive from the industry and the monies raised will again help us make a real difference to the lives of thousands of industry colleagues and their dependents who turn to BEN in times of need."
