MotoGear – UK representatives of Spidi clothing and the Nolan family of helmets – is looking forward to a successful 2013 following recent months of rapid expansion.

Having represented Spidi clothing for the last 12 years in the UK since forming in 2001, the portfolio was recently expanded to cover the Nolan Group, which includes Nolan, X-lite and Grex helmets as well as the N-Com range of Bluetooth motorcycle communication devices.

This expansion has also comes hand-in-hand with MotoGear’s New Year relocation to larger premises in Kettering and their last-minute decision to attend the EXPO trade show which is held over the long weekend of January 20th-22nd.

And as if this isn’t enough, 2013 looks to be more successful than ever with another high-profile brand soon to join the portfolio! Details are yet to be revealed, but it is hoped that an announcement will be made within a matter of weeks.

Trevor Hall of MotoGear says: “It has been an incredibly busy few months for MotoGear. As well as the Nolan Group joining our portfolio of blue-chip brands, we’ve recruited seven staff, moved to much larger premises in Kettering and been discussing terms with another big-name brand that we hope to reveal all about very soon. Through hard work, MotoGear is bucking the trend and is thriving at the moment. This is thanks to us concentrating on our select family of brands and looking after the dealers. 2013 promises more of the same and we are looking forward to the year ahead, which begins for us not only with trying to get our new offices fully furnished to our requirements, but also as we look to the EXPO show.”

The new offices – based Kettering’s Telford Way Industrial Estate – offer considerably more room than their previous location at the Business Exchange on Rockingham Road. Trevor adds: “It’s early days for the new offices, but we have considerably more room and space available for both a Spidi showroom and an area to showcase the Nolan family of helmets and N-Com communication devices. The pick of the Spidi and Nolan Group range will also be on show for dealers to view at the EXPO show at the Birmingham NEC later this month.”

Formed in 1977, Spidi clothing has been used by champions such as Kenny Roberts, Freddie Spencer, John Kocinski and Colin Edwards. Britain’s best hope of MotoGP glory – Cal Crutchlow – has worn Spidi safety equipment for many years.

The Nolan Group was formed in 1972 and has protected the heads of a multitude of World Champions past and present. Most notably Casey Stoner the 2011 and 2007 MotoGP champion wearing Nolan, as well as Jorge Lorenzo who took the 2010 and 2012 world titles wearing X-lite. In World Superbike Carlos Checa the 2011 champion also wears an X-lite helmet as does front-runner Marco Melandri. Nolan is the largest producer of motorcycle helmets in Europe.
