Motorcyling Abroad by Peter Henshaw

Motorcycling Abroad

If you are thinking about catching a ferry this summer and heading off in search of warmer roads then you might like to invest in a copy of this book written by experienced motorcycle journalist and author Peter Henshaw. No matter how experienced a rider/traveller you may be it is worth £12.99 to avoid falling foul of some of the peculiar rules and regulations in some countries that could see you ending up with a fine if you are not aware of them, or worse still having a crash because another driver expects you to act in a particular way!

The first part of this well illustrated soft-back takes you through everything from choosing a bike, documentation, carrying luggage, even shipping or hiring bikes.

The latter half of the book gives you useful information for each country, like speed limits, explanations of some signs that are not easily translated and some useful words/phrases you may need.

Whilst it is mainly cantered on Europe, there is also guidance for motorcycling in Africa, Asia, Central and South America. Certainly there is wealth of information in one place that could take you years to accrue personally.

Thanks to the books size will sit nicely in a tank bag or pannier on all your trips to keep you on the right side of the law wherever you may end up! Published by Haynes at £12.999. (www.haynes.co.uk)
