The Sammy Miller Museim Collection by Roy PoyntingThe one thing that always stands out with any Redline publication is the quality of the book. Every aspect of the book just screams quality from the paper, the print and images and the size always just seems right as well.

Probably no surprise then that Sammy Miller chose them and well-known classic author Roy Poynting to showcase some of the very interesting bikes in his superb, distinctive Hampshire museum.

This soft-back book features 110 magnificent racing and sporting motorcycles that can bee seen in the aforementioned Sammy Miller Museum. The colour plates are pin sharp having been specially photographed in a studio to allow you to see every aspect of these unique models and these are occasionally broken up by some period shots where appropriate.

All the machines featured have been expertly restored to a high standard and as a result the book is an excellent reference work. Each of the machines has been catalogued by Poynting in a succinct, but informative manner and there is an excellent penned introduction by Murray Walker.
This is exactly what a coffee table book should be and I must say has been we received by some of my visitors who have no particular interest in two wheels. Given the quality it is cheap at £19.99.

As the publisher quite rightly says ‘this book will whet the appetite of those not fortunate enough to have visited the museum, and will provide a pleasant and informative reminder for others who have.’
