As the sleeve notes quite correctly say, there is no challenge on Earth like the Isle of Man TT. The world-famous 37¾-mile circuit which attracts the best road racers and biggest motorcycle manufacturers.

With speeds now approaching 200mph, the riders are just inches from walls and hedges as they flash along roads normally used by Manx residents for their everyday business.

That all goes without saying as does the fact that this is a brilliant two-disc DVD review which covers every vital moment from all nine races. As usual aerial footage, on-board cameras, kerb cams, interviews, on-screen graphics and a lot more is used to make the four hour programme eminently watchable.

As well as the main event the footage also includes the Lightweight and Ultra-Lightweight TT run on the 4.25-mile Bill own course, famous for the Southern 100 races.

Also the review is also loaded with bonus features, including three-times World Sidecar Champion Tim Reeves explaining why he made his TT debut after a lifetime on circuits.

Add in the ‘Blades’ aerobatic display team in action, a visit to the launch of the Getty Images TT exhibition in London, with contributions from legendary motorsport commentator Murray Walker and John McGuinness and you have an excellent programme.

Another bonus or two is a complete on-board lap with Guy Martin, including commentary in his own inimitable style. A look at the star-studded Ducati Parade Lap, with the likes of Carl Fogarty and Michael Rutter celebrating the 50th anniversary of Ducati’s TT debut and it is top value for money.

If you missed it, then this is the only way to experience the 2008 TT, even if you were there, see the parts you missed! Duke has once again produced an exceptional record.
