 No doubt if you use your car abroad you comply with foreign road traffic law and pack your warning triangle if is not a standard fitment as it is in some cars. However, when you catch the ferry or train with your motorcycle it is nowhere to be found, because it is too big and clumsy and besides you don’t need it!Well according to the AA you do, it is just not enforced as a broken down motorcycle rarely causes and obstruction like a car. Well thanks to Pro-tect Safety Signs you can now pack a warning triangle on your motorcycle and not lose space, or perceptively increase the weight. Their design is brilliantly simple, a reflective triangle conforming to all the legal requirements has been made of the same material that collapsible road signs used by the police etc and attached to more material to form a small folding pyramid which folds neatly into flat envelope. This will easily fit into a top box, pannier, or lay flat at the bottom of a tank bag. Should you be unfortunate enough to break down you just unfold it and slip your crash helmet inside to keep it formed and weighted down and place it in the road between 50 -200metres behind your bike. (If you don’t want to risk your helmet a convenient rock would do!) . Simple effective and helps protect you at a time you are particularly vulnerable. Like any insurance policy you hope you do not need it, but given the £19.90 asking price it is a good investment that can of course be carried in the car as well. Given the firms history with professional signs it is robust and is unlikely to ever wear out!. You never know when a foreign police officer may want to add to your problems and cost with an on the spot fine.
