Some time ago we brought to your attention the Under Armour range of products from UK Company called Top of the Range. Primarily aimed at the military and the world of sport, this underwear in the cold and hot versions has revolutionised my motorcycling and WSB rider Leon Haslam is also now a convert. Top of the Range continue to innovate and have added a few new products to their range, which will be of use to all year round riders and those heading out off the highway looking for adventure, or just when keeping fit. ![]() First up is their range of aLOKSAK bags made of a durable polyethylene blended film that are 100% water/air tight. Although considered disposable, they can unlike other 100% water/air tight bags, be opened and resealed numerous times. In operation the storage bag prevents leakage and preserves items against damage from water, air, dust and humidity. I have been using the smallest of the range for some time, which has proved ideal for the mobile phone, while still allowing normal operation while sealed inside. Although my road jacket is totally waterproof, it has given the added security just in case and has proved ideal when out trail riding, when the risk of water ingress is considerable. Scuba schools rate them waterproof to 200 feet so you would need to get it badly wrong to have a problem when riding on or off-road! Definitely another useful product, especially if you carry documentation in tank bags whilst touring. Prices vary depending on size. ![]() Next up are their range of Science in Sport or SIS products. Basically a whole range of products to energise and rehydrate you and although aimed at those who exercise, they are great for those who ride off-road, or compete. The range is all individually wrapped and sealed so you can add a bar or drink sachet or two to your bum bag when out trail riding, or have a whole selection in the van when competing. The products are numerous, but all detailed on the website. Last up is a new addition to the Under Armour range in the shape of zip fronted fleece that is windproof and very stylish. The plain black conventionally styled item looks very smart when off the bike and provides a useful extra layer beneath a jacket when the temperature really drops. Again made to the same high standards as the underwear it makes a vey useful addition to the motorcycle wardrobe for those who look outside the conventional motorcycle clothing box! Full details of all these and some other interesting products like some amazing solar chargers on their well laid out website. www.top-of-the-range.co.uk Phone: +44 (0) 1937 830500 E-mail: info@top-of-the-range.co.uk Fax: +44 (0) 1937 830600 Review by Ian Kerr
