Panther Since 1950
The big problem for many people is having got the bike of their dreams; they don’t always know where to ride to get the best out of it.
Simply because of the pressure of modern living, with time being a major factor in most journeys forcing you onto motorways and A-roads, people do not know where these best motorcycle roads are. Sure you know those around you, but what about those further a field?
Help is at hand in the shape of a series of books written by Dick Henneman and published in spiral bound soft-back form by Panther Publishing. These books give various routes of varying distances, with road numbers and directions.
Nothing new in that as a lot of bike magazines do so as well. However, in this case you get a page of text talking you though the route and some of the sights and sounds you will see along the way and where to find garages and biker friendly tea stops.
The review book has 42 of these routes (after 24 pages of useful general information) and being familiar with many of them I would say the author has chosen well. This probably means all the books in the series, both home and abroad, are on a par with this and detail really good riding roads!
The clear no nonsense layout and the spiral biding, means that the book slips easily in to a tank bag window and can be viewed on route. I must say that having checked this out both on roads I know and a few I don’t, that this book and the series as a whole will be money well spent and will enable you to enjoy all aspects of your riding to the full.
Very competitively priced and therefore one should be in everyone’s tank bag or pocket when out for a ride.
